Crafts

Craft Fairs are a common sight these days. Thousands of people make their living from the creation and sale of decorative and functional crafts. This introductory course is designed to give students creative experience in 2D and 3D art while learning the elements and principles of design that makes crafts successful. Class projects may include batik, drawing, handmade boxes, mixed media collage, painting, polymer clay, printmaking, and weaving. Students are graded on their use of the principles and elements of design, their craftsmanship, and their technical proficiency in each project.
