Sociology

Elective credit only. This course explains the behavior, role and grouping of people in various societies.  The scope of study ranges from fundamental principles of sociology to problems of a mass society.  Selected topics for analysis include but are not limited to culture, social structure, social institutions, socialization, social problems, continuity, and change.  Students will be exposed to a variety of individual and group projects that examine groups as well as societal conflicts.
