Bio
This will be my 20th year teaching, but first year in Colorado and SVVSD. My family (husband, two children & two dogs) recently moved from Raleigh, NC and are excited to be joining the Lyons community. I have taught all grades 6th-8th, both Language Arts and Social Studies my whole career, and I LOVE middle schoolers! My favorite part of teaching is sharing my love of reading, writing and history and showing how various perspectives and experiences can shape and impact who we become. Outside of loving teaching, I enjoy traveling, mostly to National Parks, attending outdoor sporting events and concerts, reading, journaling, and relaxing with my family, friends and pets. I'm thrilled to meet all of my students and families and learn with you this year!
